    How many exams are in the AgilePM programme?

    There are two separate exams: the AgilePM Foundation exam and the AgilePM Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials. The five-day combined programme prepares you for each one.

    What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

    The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in a single-answer format, lasts 40 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 correct answers out of 50. It is typically taken at the end of the Foundation training.

    What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

    The Practitioner exam is open book with the AgilePM Handbook permitted. It has 4 scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, 60 marks in total, over 2 hours. The pass mark is 50%, which is 30 marks out of 60.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    The AgilePM Handbook is allowed during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario questions require analysis and judgment rather than lookup, so deep method knowledge and efficient handbook navigation are both essential.

    What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

    You need the AgilePM Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent, before sitting the Practitioner exam. The combined programme covers Foundation first, then Practitioner, so you can progress through both levels in sequence.

    How and where are the AgilePM exams taken?

    What is MoSCoW prioritisation in AgilePM?

    MoSCoW stands for Must have, Should have, Could have and Won't have this time. It fixes time and cost while flexing scope, so all Must Haves are delivered, along with most Should Haves and as many Could Haves as time allows.

    What is timeboxing in AgilePM?

    A timebox is a fixed-length period, typically 2 to 4 weeks, in which a defined scope of work is attempted. Time is fixed and scope flexes through MoSCoW. The timebox lifecycle has four stages: Kick-Off, Investigation, Refinement and Closing.

    Which standard is the AgilePM course based on?

    The course aligns to the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook and the official AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner syllabi, published by the Agile Business Consortium. AgilePM is built on the DSDM framework, the original agile project management method.
