Is the certification recognised in Indonesia?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered body for IT, so the credential is globally recognised and valued by employers across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, including banks, fintechs and digital platforms.

Is the BA F&P certification worth it for my career?

Yes. Certified analysts in Indonesia progress from Business Analyst toward Senior BA, Lead BA and BA Manager, with senior bands reaching around Rp300 million a year and above. The credential proves both knowledge and applied skill, which employers screen for. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

How long are the certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for life. Neither credential expires and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement.

Exam

What is the format of the two BA exams?

The Foundation exam has 40 closed-book, single-answer multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. The Practitioner exam has 40 closed-book, scenario-based multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. Both must be passed to hold both credentials.

What is the passing score for each exam?

The passing score is 65% for both exams, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct on each. The programme includes mock exams to build readiness for both levels.

Are there prerequisites for the exams?

The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, which the combined programme covers first.

Where can I take the exams in Indonesia?

Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through the accredited training provider as part of the combined package.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit an EXIN exam; verify the current re-sit policy and any fee at exin.com. Our mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you prepare for a confident first attempt at both levels.

What topics does the training cover?

The programme covers all 14 Foundation topic areas, including investigation techniques, requirements engineering, business process modelling, stakeholder management, strategy analysis and business cases, plus the seven applied Practitioner areas.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. The Foundation level is beginner-friendly and open to all, so newcomers can start here. The Practitioner level then builds applied skill, making the combined programme suitable for both new and experienced analysts.

What learning materials are provided?

You receive BCS-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, plus trainer-led guidance to prepare you for the Foundation and Practitioner examinations.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner Examination Specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, so you study the current, quality-assured syllabus.

How long is the training programme?

The combined instructor-led programme runs for 32 hours, commonly delivered over four full days. It covers Foundation content first, then Practitioner content, with exams arranged around the schedule.
