    Is there an exam for Kaizen training?

    No. Kaizen training is a non-certification course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on workshop simulations, team activities and group discussion throughout the one-day programme.

    Will I receive a certificate after the training?

    Yes. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning once you complete the one-day programme. There is no external credential, as Kaizen is a methodology rather than a certification.

    How is the training assessed?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply what you learn through Kaizen event simulation exercises and team activities during the day, so you practise planning and facilitating improvement rather than sitting a test.

    What will I be able to do after completing the training?

    You will be able to plan a Kaizen event, facilitate it through its phases, apply tools such as 5S, standard work and the Kaizen newspaper, and lead daily improvement to sustain gains. The skills are immediately applicable in your workplace.

    Does the training expire or need renewal?

    No. There is no certification to maintain and no renewal required. The Kaizen skills you learn stay useful and can be applied straight away and throughout your career.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the Kaizen course?

    The course covers six modules: the Kaizen philosophy, the PDCA cycle and thinking tools, planning a Kaizen event, running a Kaizen event, Kaizen tools in practice, and sustaining improvement and building a continuous improvement culture.

    What Kaizen tools will I learn to use?

    You will learn Gemba walks, 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis, the eight wastes of Lean (DOWNTIME), 5S, standard work, spaghetti diagrams, time observation and the Kaizen newspaper, all practised within a structured improvement event.

    How long is the Kaizen training?

    The programme runs for one day, totalling eight hours, and can also be delivered as two half-day sessions. It covers all six modules with concept explanations, real-world examples and hands-on workshop simulation exercises.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Workshop simulation exercises run throughout the day. You practise planning and facilitating elements of a Kaizen event using realistic process scenarios, so you leave able to apply the method rather than just describe it.

    Is the content aligned to Lean and the Toyota Production System?

    Yes. Kaizen is a core discipline of Lean management and the Toyota Production System, and it supports the continual improvement expected by standards such as ISO 9001:2015. The course grounds every tool in this recognised body of practice.
