Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, risk analysts and consultants who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

    General

What is the PMI-RMP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-RMP is PMI's specialist credential in project risk management, recognising expertise in identifying, assessing, responding to and monitoring risk. It is designed for project risk managers, senior project managers, risk analysts and consultants who specialise in risk on projects and programmes.

Is the PMI-RMP worth it for risk professionals in Delhi?

Yes. The PMI-RMP validates specialist risk skills that Delhi's IT services, GCCs, BFSI and infrastructure employers actively hire for, and a risk credential is reported to lift pay by around 14%. It opens roles from risk analyst to senior risk manager and head of risk.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PMI-RMP?

No. PMP certification is not a prerequisite for the PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your project risk management experience and education. Many holders do have a PMP, as the two credentials are complementary.

Is the PMI-RMP recognised in Delhi and internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-RMP is recognised by employers globally and across India. It is especially valued in high-risk sectors such as construction, energy, financial services and defence, where formal project risk management is expected.

How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-RMP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 32 contact hours, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote for current pricing in Delhi.

How much does the PMI-RMP exam cost?

For reference, the PMI exam fee is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members; actual prices may vary, so verify on pmi.org. PMI membership, about USD 139 a year, lowers the exam fee and gives free access to the Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately under its own pricing, and it is not part of the training fee. You purchase and schedule the exam directly through PMI and Pearson VUE.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing in Delhi?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and risk functions across Delhi NCR. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What if I do not pass the PMI-RMP exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our mock exams and domain-focused practice are built to help you pass with confidence, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions, including single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains per the current ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system or at a Pearson VUE test centre, including centres across India. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE.

Which standard is the PMI-RMP exam based on?

The exam is based on the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and is aligned to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management. The updated ECO covers predictive, agile and hybrid approaches.

    Course Content

Can a beginner or first-time applicant take this training?

Yes. The training suits professionals new to formal risk management and those preparing to apply. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk experience and risk education hours, and our sessions build the concepts step by step with practical examples.

What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

The training covers all five PMI-RMP domains: Risk Strategy and Planning, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Response, and Monitor and Close Risks, plus exam strategy and application guidance, across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question format and the five domains, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness for the closed-book exam.

Does this training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC-accredited degree) candidates. Set A candidates (secondary diploma) need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk education.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-RMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.
