The skills covered in this PMI-RMP programme span all five risk management domains. You start with risk strategy and planning, learning to assess the project environment, confirm risk thresholds and appetite, and tailor a risk management plan for predictive, agile or hybrid delivery.

    Identify Threats and Opportunities

Facilitate structured risk identification using brainstorming, the Delphi technique, SWOT, assumption and constraint analysis and prompt lists. You learn to document risks clearly in the risk register and validate coverage across all project areas.

    Run Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis

Prioritise risks with the probability and impact matrix, then apply quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, decision tree analysis, expected monetary value and sensitivity analysis to model the aggregate effect of risk on cost and schedule.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

Develop response strategies for threats and opportunities, from avoid, transfer, mitigate and accept to exploit, share and enhance. You learn to assign owners, set triggers, build contingency and fallback plans, and fold reserves into the project plan.

    Monitor and Close Risks

Track identified, residual and secondary risks against triggers and thresholds, run periodic risk reviews, report on the changing risk profile, and formally close risks while capturing lessons learned for future projects.

    Prepare for the PMI-RMP Exam

Get ready for the 115-question, closed-book exam with domain-focused practice, mock tests and guidance on documenting your risk experience and education for the PMI application across the three eligibility sets.
