It covers voice of the customer, QFD, concept selection, Design FMEA, robust design and design verification.

The course suits design engineers, systems engineers, R&D professionals, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers involved in new product introduction, and Six Sigma Green and Black Belts who want to add design skills. It is ideal for anyone across Italy responsible for designing new products, services or processes.

Yes. Italy's automotive, aerospace, machinery, medical-device and consumer-goods sectors compete on design quality, and firms increasingly want engineers who can build quality in rather than fix defects later. DFSS skills apply directly to live projects. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your start.

DMAIC improves existing processes that are underperforming, while DFSS designs new products and processes correctly from the outset using the DMADV roadmap. This course covers DFSS and DMADV. Many organisations use both: DMAIC to improve what exists and DFSS to design what is new.

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with basic Six Sigma ideas such as CTQ and variation is helpful but not required, because the course introduces the DMADV methodology and every DFSS tool from first principles.

    General

What is Design for Six Sigma training?

Design for Six Sigma training is a one-day skills course in the DFSS methodology, which uses the DMADV roadmap (Define, Measure, Analyse, Design, Verify) to design new products, services and processes that meet customer needs and reach Six Sigma quality from the start. It covers voice of the customer, QFD, concept selection, Design FMEA, robust design and design verification.

Who should attend this DFSS course?

The course suits design engineers, systems engineers, R&D professionals, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers involved in new product introduction, and Six Sigma Green and Black Belts who want to add design skills. It is ideal for anyone across Italy responsible for designing new products, services or processes.

Is DFSS training worth it for professionals in Italy?

Yes. Italy's automotive, aerospace, machinery, medical-device and consumer-goods sectors compete on design quality, and firms increasingly want engineers who can build quality in rather than fix defects later. DFSS skills apply directly to live projects. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your start.

How is DFSS different from DMAIC?

DMAIC improves existing processes that are underperforming, while DFSS designs new products and processes correctly from the outset using the DMADV roadmap. This course covers DFSS and DMADV. Many organisations use both: DMAIC to improve what exists and DFSS to design what is new.

Do I need prior Six Sigma knowledge to join?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with basic Six Sigma ideas such as CTQ and variation is helpful but not required, because the course introduces the DMADV methodology and every DFSS tool from first principles.

    Pricing

How much does DFSS training cost in Italy?

Fees depend on the delivery format, such as live virtual, classroom or corporate on-site, and on group size, so pricing for Italy is available on request. Request a quote and a learning advisor will share current options for individuals and teams.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee covers instructor-led delivery across all six DFSS modules, hands-on tool exercises, case-study examples, learning materials and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Ask about corporate rates for group bookings.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. Corporate on-site and group bookings are available with tailored schedules and volume-based pricing for engineering, R&D and quality teams. Contact us for a group quote for your team in Italy.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and can discuss instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is the price the same for virtual and classroom training?

Pricing varies by format and location, so live virtual, classroom and on-site corporate delivery can differ. Request a quote for the format you prefer and we will confirm the current fee.

    Assessment

Is there an assessment or test at the end?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on DFSS tool exercises, case studies and group discussion during the one-day programme.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. There is no external credential, because the course focuses on building practical DFSS methodology and tool skills you can apply to design projects straight away.

How are my skills reinforced during the training?

Through practical activities. You apply voice of the customer to CTQ flow-down, build a QFD House of Quality, run a Pugh concept selection and complete a Design FMEA on realistic design scenarios, so you leave able to use each tool.

Does the course lead to a Six Sigma belt?

No. It is a focused DFSS skills course, not a belt programme. It complements Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training by adding the DMADV design methodology to your toolkit.

Will the skills expire or need renewing?

No. There is nothing to renew. The DMADV methodology and DFSS tools you learn are immediately applicable and stay useful across new product and process design projects.

    Course Content

What topics does the DFSS training cover?

The one-day programme covers all five DMADV phases: Define (project charter, VOC, Kano), Measure (CTQ flow-down and QFD), Analyse (concept generation, Pugh matrix, Design FMEA), Design (robust design, P-diagram, DFMA) and Verify (design verification, validation, scorecard and design transfer).

What DFSS tools will I practise?

You will practise voice of the customer capture, CTQ flow-down, the QFD House of Quality, the Pugh concept selection matrix, Design FMEA with RPN, robust design thinking and design verification planning, all on realistic product and process scenarios.

    How long is the training?

The course runs for one day, totalling eight hours. It can be delivered as a single full day or as two half-days, covering all six DFSS modules with hands-on exercises throughout.

    Can beginners take this course?

Yes. The course is beginner-friendly and introduces every DFSS tool and the DMADV roadmap from first principles. Some awareness of basic Six Sigma ideas helps but is not required.

    What materials are provided?

You receive structured learning materials, worked case-study examples and DFSS tool templates for VOC, QFD, the Pugh matrix and Design FMEA, so you can reuse the methods on your own projects.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the DFSS course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete your booking, and you will receive joining details, schedules and learning materials. A learning advisor can help you pick a batch.

What delivery formats are available in Italy?

The course is available as live virtual instructor-led training, classroom training and on-site corporate delivery for teams across Italy. If you prefer to learn remotely, you can take the Design for Six Sigma course online as live virtual instructor-led training. Choose the format that fits your schedule and location.
