    Do I get a certificate after the JIRA training?

    This is a non-certification, skills-focused course, so there is no external credential or exam. On completing the programme you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, and skills you can apply to your projects immediately.

    Assessment

    Is there an exam for the JIRA training?

    No. Neither the Fundamentals nor the Advanced level includes an examination. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities throughout each programme, so you build proficiency by doing.

    How is my learning assessed during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you work through practical exercises on a live Jira environment, following realistic Agile delivery scenarios, so the trainer can guide you and you can confirm your skills as you go.

    What will I be able to do after Fundamentals?

    You will be able to create and configure Jira projects, manage issues across the Epic to Subtask hierarchy, run sprints on the Scrum board, use the Kanban board with WIP limits, plan releases with versions, write basic JQL, and read Agile reports such as velocity and burndown.

    What will I be able to do after Advanced?

    You will be able to design custom workflows with conditions, validators and post-functions, apply permission, notification, screen and field schemes, write advanced JQL, build dashboards, create automation rules, integrate Jira with Git and CI/CD tools, and administer a Jira instance.

    Do I need Jira access before attending?

    Yes. You should have access to a Jira environment for the hands-on exercises. Jira Cloud offers a free tier for practice. Check whether a shared training environment is provided, or set up your own Jira Cloud trial, before the session begins.

    What topics does the JIRA training cover?

    Fundamentals covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions, filters, basic JQL and Agile reports. Advanced covers workflow design, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, DevOps integrations and Jira administration.

    Do I need prior Jira experience to join?

    For Fundamentals, no. It is designed for people new to Jira, though basic familiarity with Agile concepts helps. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience, as it moves quickly into configuration and administration.

    Is the training hands-on or theory based?

    It is highly hands-on. You follow the trainer in a live Jira environment, building projects, boards, workflows, queries, dashboards and automation rules yourself, using realistic Agile software delivery scenarios so the skills transfer straight to work.

    Which version of Jira does the course use?

    The training is delivered primarily on Jira Cloud, Atlassian's main delivery model, and the concepts also apply to Jira Data Center. Interface differences between the two are highlighted where relevant during the sessions.

    How long is each level of the training?

    Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats, and can be attended independently or in sequence.
