Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined qualification in the PRINCE2 method, the world's most widely used structured project management approach. Foundation proves you understand the method; Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it. Both are based on the current edition, PRINCE2 7 (2023), from AXELOS and PeopleCert.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined qualification in the PRINCE2 method, the world's most widely used structured project management approach. Foundation proves you understand the method; Practitioner proves you can apply and tailor it. Both are based on the current edition, PRINCE2 7 (2023), from AXELOS and PeopleCert.

Is PRINCE2 worth it for professionals in Beijing?

Yes. PRINCE2 is a globally recognised credential valued by Beijing employers in technology, finance, consulting and infrastructure that run large, governance-critical projects. With Project Manager roles in Beijing averaging around ¥420,000 and senior bands far higher, certification supports both credibility and earning potential.

Who should take this combined PRINCE2 course?

The combo suits aspiring project managers, practising project managers formalising their knowledge, and team members working in PRINCE2 environments. There are no prerequisites for Foundation, making it accessible to those new to the method as well as experienced delivery professionals.

Why choose Invensis Learning for PRINCE2 training in Beijing?

Invensis Learning is a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organization offering official PRINCE2 7 courseware, accredited trainers, flexible delivery formats and dual exam preparation, helping you move from study to certified with a clear, supported path.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points within the cycle, and Practitioner can be renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Beijing?

Training fees vary by format, whether live online, classroom or corporate group delivery. Pricing for Beijing is available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and vary by region and channel. Request a quote for current pricing and package options.

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes official PRINCE2 7 courseware, instructor-led or self-paced access, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable resources and learner support. Confirm whether exam vouchers are bundled when you request a quote.

Are the two exam fees included in the training price?

Exam vouchers may be bundled or purchased separately depending on the package. PeopleCert bills exam fees under regional pricing, and these can vary by delivery channel. Speak with a learning advisor to confirm what your chosen package includes.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams, PMOs and departments across Beijing and China. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book, single-answer format, with a 60% pass mark (36 out of 60). It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, completed in 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and uses scenario-based questions. The pass mark is 60% (42 out of 70 marks).

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. In this combined programme you take Foundation first, then Practitioner, so the prerequisite is met within the course.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams can be taken online via PeopleCert's OnVUE online proctoring, available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. Exams are typically arranged through your Accredited Training Organization as part of the programme.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can resit the exam under PeopleCert's re-sit policy. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and exam-technique guidance to prepare you thoroughly, and selected plans offer additional revision support. Confirm current re-sit terms when you enrol.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 training?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress) and the seven processes, plus product-based planning, tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. There are no prerequisites for PRINCE2 Foundation, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from the fundamentals up to applying and tailoring the method, with trainer support and practice throughout, so both new and experienced professionals can succeed.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the course cover?

The course is aligned to PRINCE2 7 (the 7th Edition, 2023), the current version from AXELOS and PeopleCert. PRINCE2 7 introduced the People capability, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile, commercial and sustainability considerations.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive official PRINCE2 7 courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, chapter-wise quizzes and downloadable reference materials to support your preparation for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams.

How is the combined programme structured?

The combined programme typically covers Foundation content first, followed by Practitioner content, with the Foundation exam taken before moving on to Practitioner. It is delivered over an intensive schedule that leads to two separate PeopleCert exams.

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course in Beijing?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.
