No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary, and many construction professionals hold both.

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Mumbai?

No. PMI bills the PMI-CP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, around USD 520 for members and USD 670 for non-members for reference. PMI membership, about USD 139 a year, can reduce the exam fee. Confirm current amounts on the PMI store.

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline. It covers four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes, which is 3 hours and 50 minutes. It is delivered online with Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the prerequisites for the PMI-CP exam?

You must complete all four self-paced prerequisite modules and meet one experience and education set: Set A needs a secondary diploma plus 60 months of construction PM experience; Set B needs a bachelor's degree plus 36 months; Set C needs a GAC-accredited degree plus 24 months. All sets need 35 contact hours of PM education.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all four domains.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts; confirm the current amounts on the PMI store. Our mock exams and revision support are designed to help you pass first time.

Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

Anyone can enrol in the training, and it is well suited to construction professionals at different levels. To sit the PMI-CP exam itself you need construction project management experience under one of PMI's eligibility sets, which our advisors can help you check.

What topics are covered in the PMI-CP training?

The training covers the four PMI-CP domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%), including contract administration, claims, variation orders, stakeholder engagement, scope and schedule control, risk, quality and governance.

What are the four prerequisite modules for PMI-CP?

Before applying, you complete four self-paced modules, each worth 14 PDUs: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Together they award 56 PDUs, which can also count toward renewal.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions aligned to the ECO, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build readiness for the 120-question exam.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of PM education PMI requires. Ask our advisors whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading can be credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?
