    General

What is the PMI Construction Professional (PMI-CP)?

The PMI-CP is PMI's specialist certification for the construction industry. It validates your ability to apply project management skills across construction projects, tested over four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%).

Who should take PMI-CP training in Las Vegas?

PMI-CP training suits construction project managers, site managers and project engineers moving into PM roles, owner's representatives and PMP holders specializing in construction. In Las Vegas, it fits professionals delivering resorts, data centers, stadiums and infrastructure who want a recognized construction credential.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for a construction career?

Yes. The PMI-CP is a globally recognized PMI credential that separates certified construction leaders from the rest in a competitive market. In Las Vegas, Construction Project Manager roles average around $108,659 and Contracts Manager roles around $130,610 a year, and senior roles are the hardest to fill.

Is PMP required before the PMI-CP?

No. PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can apply based on your construction project management experience and education. The two are complementary, with PMP validating broad PM competency and PMI-CP validating construction-specific expertise.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year cycle through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements program. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can be applied toward renewal.

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Las Vegas?

PMI-CP training fees vary by format and are available on request. The fee typically covers PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote or talk to a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

How many questions and how long is the PMI-CP exam?

What are the PMI-CP exam domains and weights?

The exam covers four domains from the ECO: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting the centrality of contracts and claims in construction.

What if I do not pass the PMI-CP exam the first time?

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

You must complete all four mandatory self-paced modules and meet one of three experience sets: a secondary diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months, each with 35 contact hours of PM education.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PMI-CP training?

The training covers the four ECO domains: Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance. You learn contract types and delivery methods, contract administration, claims, stakeholder engagement, scope and schedule control, and governance.

What will I learn in this PMI-CP course?

You will learn to select and administer construction contracts, manage variation orders and claims, engage owners, regulators and communities, baseline and control scope and schedule with CPM and EVM, and establish project governance, reporting and compliance.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The program includes practice questions mapped to the ECO, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes across all four domains, so you can identify weak areas and build confidence for the 120-question exam format.

What are the four prerequisite modules?

Before applying, you complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules in any order, each 6 to 10 hours and worth 14 PDUs: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management, for 56 PDUs in total.
