JQL and Automation Were Game Changers

"As a developer I used Jira daily but only at a surface level. The Advanced sessions on JQL, custom workflows and automation changed how I work. I now build my own filters and dashboards instead of asking someone else."

    Tailored Training with Real Impact

"As an L&D lead I needed training that our IT teams would actually apply. The trainers tailored the exercises to our own workflows, and the shift in delivery visibility afterwards was clear. Coordination throughout was excellent."

Yes. Jira is the dominant Agile delivery tool at Naver, Kakao, Coupang and countless Korean scale-ups, and around 70% of firms are hiring tech talent amid a skills shortage. Hands-on Jira proficiency makes you more hireable across software, IT and fintech roles.

Take Fundamentals (2 days) if you are new to Jira and want confident skills in projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards and Agile reports. Take Advanced (3 days) if you already use Jira and want to master workflows, schemes, JQL, dashboards, automation and administration. You can attend either or both.

No prior Jira experience is needed for the Fundamentals level; familiarity with basic Agile or project concepts helps but is not required. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

Jira is a web-based platform for issue tracking and Agile project management. Teams use it to plan and run sprints, manage Scrum and Kanban boards, track epics, stories, tasks and bugs, automate workflows and report on delivery. It is the most widely used Agile delivery tool worldwide.

It is offered at Fundamentals and Advanced levels and suits developers, testers, project managers, Scrum Masters, business analysts and Jira administrators.

Is learning Jira worth it in South Korea?

Yes. Jira is the dominant Agile delivery tool at Naver, Kakao, Coupang and countless Korean scale-ups, and around 70% of firms are hiring tech talent amid a skills shortage. Hands-on Jira proficiency makes you more hireable across software, IT and fintech roles.

Should I take the Fundamentals or Advanced level?

Take Fundamentals (2 days) if you are new to Jira and want confident skills in projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards and Agile reports. Take Advanced (3 days) if you already use Jira and want to master workflows, schemes, JQL, dashboards, automation and administration. You can attend either or both.

Do I need prior Jira experience to join?

No prior Jira experience is needed for the Fundamentals level; familiarity with basic Agile or project concepts helps but is not required. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

What is Atlassian Jira used for?

    Pricing

How much does JIRA training cost in South Korea?

Fees vary by level, delivery format and group size, so pricing is available on request. Both Fundamentals and Advanced are offered in live virtual, classroom and corporate formats. Contact a learning advisor for a quote tailored to your needs.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions across all modules, hands-on Jira exercises, structured courseware and learning resources, practical activities and revision support, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning.

Do I need to pay for Jira software separately?

Jira is an Atlassian product. Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users, which is enough for hands-on practice, while paid Jira Cloud and Data Center plans are commercial. Check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for software squads, IT teams and whole engineering functions. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for JIRA training?

No. JIRA training is a non-certification skills course with no examination at either the Fundamentals or Advanced level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises using realistic Agile delivery scenarios.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. This is not a formal certification, as Jira skills training has no awarding body; it recognises your participation and the practical skills you have built.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Throughout each level you follow along with the trainer in a Jira environment and complete hands-on exercises and configuration activities, so you build genuine proficiency by doing the work rather than sitting a test.

Is Jira access provided during the training?

You are expected to have access to a Jira environment during the training. Jira Cloud offers a free trial that is suitable for practice. Confirm whether a shared training environment is provided, or set up your own Jira Cloud trial before the session.

How long is each level of the training?

Fundamentals is delivered over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats to suit your schedule.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the Fundamentals level?

Fundamentals covers navigating Jira, creating Scrum, Kanban and business projects, the Epic, Story, Task, Bug and Subtask hierarchy, sprint and Kanban board management, roadmaps and versions, saved filters, basic JQL, and Agile reports such as velocity and burndown.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers custom workflow design with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission, notification, screen and field configuration schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, DevOps integrations and Jira administration.

Does the training include hands-on practice?

Yes. Both levels are exercise-led. The trainer demonstrates each feature while you follow along in a Jira Cloud or Data Center environment, using realistic Agile software delivery scenarios so you build proficiency through practice.

Which version of Jira does the course use?

The training is grounded in Jira Cloud, the primary delivery model that Atlassian keeps continuously updated, with reference to Jira Data Center for self-managed enterprise use. You learn current, in-use Jira features rather than a fixed legacy version.

Does the course cover JQL and automation?

Yes. Fundamentals introduces saved filters and basic JQL, and Advanced covers advanced JQL, including the CHANGED and WAS operators, plus Jira automation rules with triggers, conditions, actions and smart values for auto-assignment, transitions and integrations.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in JIRA training?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your level and preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

    What training formats are available?

Both levels are available as online (live virtual) instructor-led training, in-person classroom sessions, and customised corporate group training, so teams and individuals across South Korea can pick the format that fits their schedule.

Can a complete beginner join the course?

Yes. The Fundamentals level is designed for people who are new to Jira, with no prerequisites and step-by-step, hands-on guidance. It builds confident, practical skills from the ground up before you progress to Advanced topics.

Can I reschedule my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training again. Contact support to arrange this.

    How soon can I start?

New live virtual and classroom batches run regularly, and self-scheduling is available for corporate groups. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to find the next available session that suits you.
