What is the format of the AgilePM Foundation exam?

The AgilePM Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in a closed-book format, with a 40-minute duration. The pass mark is 50 per cent, meaning 25 out of 50 correct. It is typically taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, with the AgilePM Handbook permitted. It has four scenario-based questions worth 15 marks each, for 60 marks total, over two hours. The pass mark is 50 per cent, meaning 30 out of 60 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the AgilePM Handbook is permitted during the Practitioner exam. However, the scenario questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Both deep method knowledge and efficient handbook navigation are essential.

Are there prerequisites for the AgilePM Practitioner exam?

Yes. The Practitioner exam requires AgilePM Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent. Foundation itself has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, which is why the combined route covers both levels in sequence.

Which syllabus are the AgilePM exams based on?

Both exams are based on the current AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, aligned to the current edition of the AgilePM Handbook published by the Agile Business Consortium. Our courseware is kept aligned to these current versions.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?
