The path to Online PMI-ACP certification follows a streamlined exam-based process. After completing the required training and obtaining PMI approval, candidates proceed directly to the certification examination administered through Pearson VUE. Unlike some senior PMI credentials, PMI-ACP does not require a peer-panel review. Most candidates complete the journey from training to certification within 6–10 weeks, depending on preparation time and application processing.

What is the PMI-ACP certification and who is it for?

Is the PMI-ACP worth it for professionals in Norway?

Yes. Agile is the default way of working across Norway's technology, banking and public sectors, and certified practitioners are in demand as delivery scales. Roles range from Scrum Master to Agile Coach, with coaches in Oslo averaging above kr 1.3 million a year.

What agile frameworks does the PMI-ACP cover?

The PMI-ACP spans multiple frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP) and Test-Driven Development (TDD). This vendor-neutral scope is what sets it apart from single-framework certificates and makes it valued across sectors.

What are the prerequisites for the PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP valid and how do I renew it?

The PMI-ACP is valid for three years. To renew it, you earn 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements system.

What is included in the PMI-ACP training fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 24 contact hours of instructor-led training, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI. Request a quote for current pricing in Norway.

How much does the PMI-ACP exam cost?

PMI bills the exam fee separately, and it varies. For reference, PMI members pay around USD 435 and non-members around USD 495; confirm current fees on pmi.org. PMI membership can reduce the exam cost and gives access to resources such as the Agile Practice Guide.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing in Norway?

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

What if I do not pass the PMI-ACP exam the first time?

You can retake it. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, and a re-examination fee applies to later attempts. Our mock exams and structured preparation are designed to help you pass with confidence the first time.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

The PMI-ACP exam has 120 multiple-choice questions and a three-hour allotted time. It is closed book and proctored, with questions distributed across the seven agile domains of the Examination Content Outline.

How is the PMI-ACP exam scored?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

Where can I take the PMI-ACP exam in Norway?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your one-year eligibility window.

Which standard is the PMI-ACP exam based on?

The exam is based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline (ECO) published in January 2018, which defines the seven agile domains. It also draws on recognised agile references such as the Agile Practice Guide and the Scrum Guide.

Do I need prior experience to take this training?

You can enrol in the training at any experience level, and it works well for practitioners already using agile. To sit the PMI-ACP exam, PMI requires documented project and agile experience, and our trainers guide you on meeting those prerequisites.

What topics does the PMI-ACP training cover?

The training covers the seven ECO domains: agile principles and mindset, value-driven delivery, stakeholder engagement, team performance, adaptive planning, problem detection and resolution, and continuous improvement, plus exam strategy and application support.

Does the training meet PMI's 21 contact hours requirement?

Yes. The programme provides 24 contact hours of instructor-led agile training, which exceeds and fully satisfies PMI's 21 contact hours prerequisite for the PMI-ACP.

What learning materials are included?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, tools and technique guides, practice questions, quizzes and flashcards to support your revision.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 120-question format, so you can identify weak areas and build readiness before exam day.
