What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes, closed book. The passing score is 65 percent, which is 26 out of 40 correct. It tests business analysis concepts across 14 topic areas.

The Practitioner exam also has 40 questions in 60 minutes, closed book, but uses scenario-based questions that require you to apply business analysis techniques. The passing score is 65 percent, which is 26 out of 40, across 7 topic areas.

Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level. In the combined programme you prepare for and sit the Foundation exam first, then progress to the Practitioner exam.

Where can I take the exams?

Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's online proctored system or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are typically arranged as part of your training and dual exam package.
