Do I have to sit a test to complete the training?

No. This is a practical skills course with no test at either level. You build proficiency through hands-on Primavera P6 exercises using realistic project scenarios throughout the programme.

What do I receive when I finish?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning confirming the Primavera P6 training you completed. The skills are immediately applicable to planning and project controls work and do not expire.

How is my progress assessed during the course?

There is no formal grading. You learn by working in P6 alongside the trainer and completing practical exercises for each feature and workflow, from scheduling and baselining to resource loading and earned value.

Will I be able to use P6 confidently afterwards?

Yes. After Fundamentals you can build, schedule, resource and baseline a project and track progress. After Advanced you can cost-load, calculate earned value, run schedule quality checks and manage multiple projects.

How long does each level take?

Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours), available as full-day or extended half-day formats. Verify current scheduling options when you enrol.

Is prior Primavera P6 experience required?

Not for Fundamentals, which starts from the basics. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on P6 experience.

You will navigate P6, build the EPS, OBS and WBS, create activities and relationships, run the scheduler, read the critical path and float, assign resources, set baselines and update progress with Physical % Complete and actual dates.

What does the Advanced level add?

Advanced adds resource and cost loading with cost accounts and S-curves, earned value metrics (SPI, CPI, EAC, TCPI), DCMA-style schedule quality checks, Claim Digger comparison, multi-project scheduling and custom layouts, filters and reports.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes. You work in Primavera P6 throughout, following the trainer through each feature and completing practical exercises using realistic construction, rail and engineering project scenarios, so you build genuine software proficiency.

Does the course cover earned value management?

Yes, at Advanced level. You calculate and interpret BCWS, BCWP and ACWP with SPI, CPI, EAC and TCPI, and produce earned value S-curves and reports for contract and executive performance reviews.
