    Is there an exam at the end of the training?

    No. Microsoft Project training is a non-certification, skills-focused course with no examination at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Microsoft Project exercises throughout the programme.

    What do I receive after completing the training?

    You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing your chosen level. The real outcome is practical skill: you leave able to plan, schedule, resource, baseline and report on projects in Microsoft Project.

    How are my skills tested during the course?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you build skills through guided, hands-on exercises using realistic project scenarios, following the trainer step by step so you practise each feature as it is taught.

    Will I be able to use Microsoft Project confidently afterwards?

    Yes. After Fundamentals you can build schedules, link tasks, assign resources, set baselines and track progress. After Advanced you can add resource levelling, cost and earned value, custom reports and multi-project management.

    How long is each level of the training?

    Fundamentals is delivered over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day or extended half-day formats. Ask about current scheduling options when you enquire.

    Course Content

    What topics are covered in the training?

    Fundamentals covers project setup, the work breakdown structure, task dependencies and the critical path, resources, baselines, tracking and reporting. Advanced adds task types, resource levelling, cost and earned value, custom views and reports, and master projects.

    What will I learn at the Fundamentals level?

    You learn to create a project and configure calendars, build a task list with summary tasks, subtasks and milestones, link tasks with dependencies and lead or lag time, identify the critical path, assign resources, set a baseline and track progress with built-in reports.

    What does the Advanced level add?

    The Advanced level covers Fixed Units, Fixed Duration and Fixed Work task types, resource pools and levelling, cost management and earned value such as SPI and CPI, custom fields, tables and reports, master projects with cross-project links, and Microsoft 365 integration.

    Is the training hands-on or theory based?

    It is hands-on throughout. You work in Microsoft Project alongside the trainer, completing practical exercises on realistic project scenarios so you build genuine proficiency rather than just watching demonstrations.

    Can beginners follow the Fundamentals course?

    Yes. Fundamentals is designed for people new to Microsoft Project. There are no formal prerequisites, and the trainer builds from project setup up to tracking and reporting so beginners can keep pace.
