The path to Online PMI-ACP certification follows a streamlined exam-based process. After completing the required training and obtaining PMI approval, candidates proceed directly to the certification examination administered through Pearson VUE. Unlike some senior PMI credentials, PMI-ACP does not require a peer-panel review. Most candidates complete the journey from training to certification within 6–10 weeks, depending on preparation time and application processing.

Is the PMI-ACP worth it for professionals in Iceland?

Yes. Agile roles such as Scrum Master and product owner in Iceland typically pay between ISK 10M and 15M a year, with senior bands higher. As banks, fintechs and product firms scale digital delivery, a recognised agile credential helps you stand out and negotiate.

Is the PMI-ACP recognised in Iceland?

Yes. PMI is a globally recognised body with members in over 200 countries, and the PMI-ACP is valued by Icelandic employers across banking, fintech, food tech, gaming and IT services that deliver software iteratively.

What are the prerequisites for the PMI-ACP?

You need a secondary degree, 2,000 hours of general project experience within the last five years, 1,500 hours of agile project experience within the last three years, and 21 contact hours of agile training. PMP or PgMP holders already meet the general project experience requirement.

How long is the PMI-ACP valid and how is it renewed?

The PMI-ACP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in agile topics within each three-year cycle and report them through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) system.

Pricing

How much does PMI-ACP training cost in Iceland?

Training is quoted by format, so live online, classroom and corporate options are priced differently; pricing is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately by PMI in USD and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current Iceland pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware mapped to the Examination Content Outline, 24 contact hours of training, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and post-training support, plus a course completion certificate.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD. For reference, it is around USD 435 for PMI members and USD 495 for non-members; confirm current fees at pmi.org. PMI membership (about USD 139 a year) can reduce the exam cost and unlock free resources.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

What is the format of the PMI-ACP exam?

The PMI-ACP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018. Questions are distributed across seven agile domains and delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-ACP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of three hours. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions across the seven agile domains defined in the ECO.

What is the passing score for the PMI-ACP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. The passing score is set psychometrically, and results are reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all seven domains.

What if I do not pass on the first attempt?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. A reexamination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our practice questions, mock exams and trainer support are designed to help you pass with confidence.

Where can I take the PMI-ACP exam in Iceland?

You can sit the exam online from home or the office through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

The training covers all seven ECO domains: Agile Principles and Mindset, Value-Driven Delivery, Stakeholder Engagement, Team Performance, Adaptive Planning, Problem Detection and Resolution, and Continuous Improvement, plus the tools and techniques the exam expects.

Which agile frameworks are included?

The programme spans multiple frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming (XP) and Test-Driven Development (TDD), along with Crystal and Feature-Driven Development. This cross-framework breadth is what sets the PMI-ACP apart from single-framework credentials.

Does the training satisfy the 21 contact hour requirement?

Yes. The programme delivers 24 contact hours of agile education, which exceeds and fully satisfies PMI's 21 contact hour training prerequisite for the PMI-ACP application.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions aligned to the 120-question, three-hour format, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest ECO?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-ACP Examination Content Outline published in January 2018 and to the Agile Practice Guide, so your preparation reflects what PMI actually tests.
