Do I get a certificate after JIRA training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. This is a practical skills course, so there is no external exam or formal credential awarded by a governing body.

What are the prerequisites for JIRA training?

The Fundamentals level has no prerequisites and suits new users. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

Which Jira platform does the training use?

The training focuses on Jira Software, primarily Jira Cloud, which is Atlassian's main deployment model. The core concepts also apply to Jira Data Center for self-managed instances.

Do I need to pay for Jira software separately?

Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users, which is enough for hands-on practice. Paid Jira Cloud plans and Data Center are Atlassian products; check whether a shared training environment is provided when you enrol.

What payment options are available?

Assessment

Is there an exam for JIRA training?

No. JIRA training is a non-certification skills course with no exam at either level. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises and realistic delivery scenarios throughout the programme.

How is learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. You practise every feature in a live Jira environment as the trainer demonstrates it, so you build real proficiency by doing rather than by testing.

What do I receive on completion?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning that recognises the practical Jira skills you have built. No external credential or governing body is involved.

Will JIRA training prepare me for an Atlassian credential?

The training builds strong practical Jira skills that support your wider Jira knowledge, but it is a standalone skills course and is not structured as preparation for any Atlassian exam or credential.

Do the skills expire?

No. The Jira skills you learn are immediately applicable and do not expire. As Jira Cloud evolves, the core concepts of boards, workflows, JQL and automation stay the same.

Course Content

What topics does JIRA training cover?

Fundamentals covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions, filters, basic JQL and Agile reports. Advanced covers workflows, schemes, custom fields, dashboards, automation, integrations and Jira administration.

What is the difference between Fundamentals and Advanced?

Fundamentals (2 days) builds core skills for new or occasional Jira users. Advanced (3 days) is for experienced users and administrators who want to master configuration, automation, integrations and administration.

Will I learn JQL and automation?

Yes. You learn to write Jira Query Language filters and build dashboards in both levels, and the Advanced level covers no-code Jira automation rules with triggers, conditions, actions and smart values.

Does the training cover Jira administration?

Yes, at the Advanced level. You learn workflow and scheme configuration, permissions, custom fields, user and group management, and global settings for administering a Jira instance.

How long is each level of the training?

Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced runs for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats.
