Is Jira training worth it for professionals in Germany?

What is the difference between the Fundamentals and Advanced levels?

Fundamentals (2 days) covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, filters and Agile reports for new or occasional users. Advanced (3 days) covers workflows, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, integrations and Jira administration for experienced users.

Do I need prior Jira experience to attend?

No prior Jira experience is needed for Fundamentals; basic familiarity with web applications is enough. For the Advanced level you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience, as it builds on core configuration knowledge.

Which version of Jira does the training use?

The training is delivered on Atlassian Jira Software using a live Jira environment, primarily Jira Cloud, which is the main delivery model Atlassian offers. You practise every feature hands-on as the instructor demonstrates it.

What is included in the course fee?

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for corporate group training, with sessions tailored to your own Jira projects and workflows. It is a cost-effective way to upskill a whole delivery team. Ask about corporate or group pricing for your team.

Do I need a separate Jira licence to take the course?

You need access to a Jira environment for hands-on practice. Jira Cloud offers a free tier for up to 10 users, which is often sufficient. For corporate sessions we confirm the environment set-up with you in advance; contact us for details.

What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you or your organisation.

Assessment

Is there an exam at the end of the Jira training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities throughout the programme, so you build proficiency by doing.

Do I receive anything on completing the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after finishing your programme. It recognises your participation and the practical Jira skills you have built, which apply immediately at work.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, hands-on exercises, configuration activities and knowledge checks throughout each module let you practise every feature and confirm your understanding as you go, using realistic delivery scenarios.

Will the skills expire or need renewing?

No. Because there is no certification, there is nothing to renew. The Jira skills you learn are immediately usable and stay relevant as you apply and extend them in your day-to-day delivery work.

What will I be able to do after the Fundamentals level?

You will be able to create and configure Jira projects, manage issues across the Epic to Subtask hierarchy, run sprints on the Scrum board, use the Kanban board, plan releases with versions, write basic JQL and interpret Agile reports such as velocity and burndown.

Is the training hands-on or lecture-based?

It is hands-on throughout. You follow along in a live Jira environment while the instructor demonstrates each feature, then complete practical exercises using realistic Agile delivery scenarios, so you build genuine proficiency rather than just theory.

Does the course cover Jira administration and automation?

Yes, at the Advanced level. You learn to design workflows and schemes, manage permissions and users, build automation rules with triggers, conditions and actions, and connect Jira to Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD tools.

Does the training cover Scrum and Kanban in Jira?

Yes. Fundamentals covers running a full Scrum cycle on the Scrum board, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and review, as well as managing continuous flow on the Kanban board with WIP limits and cumulative flow diagrams.

What materials and support do I get?

You receive structured courseware, guided hands-on exercises, topic-wise knowledge checks and reference materials, plus dedicated learner support before, during and after the training to help you apply your Jira skills at work.
