What will I learn in the Fundamentals level?

What does the Advanced level cover?

The Advanced level covers advanced scheduling options, resource and cost loading, cost accounts and the S-curve, earned value management, baseline management and Claim Digger, multi-project and enterprise portfolio control, and custom reporting with Excel integration.

How long is the Primavera P6 training?

The Fundamentals level runs for 2 days (16 hours) and the Advanced level for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended part-day formats, and you can attend either level independently or in sequence.

Is the training hands-on?

Yes. Both levels are delivered with live Primavera P6 exercises throughout. You follow along in P6 as the trainer demonstrates each feature, using realistic construction and capital project scenarios to build genuine software proficiency.

Do I need prior experience to join?

The Fundamentals level has no prerequisites and is designed for new or occasional P6 users. For the Advanced level, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Primavera P6 experience.

Assessment

Is there an exam for Primavera P6 training?

No. Neither the Fundamentals nor the Advanced level includes an examination. This is a practical skills course, so learning is reinforced through hands-on Primavera P6 exercises rather than a formal test.

What do I receive when I complete the course?

You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. The practical P6 skills you build are immediately applicable at work and do not expire or require renewal.

How is my learning assessed?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you build and demonstrate proficiency through live Primavera P6 exercises during the sessions, working through realistic project scenarios that mirror on-the-job tasks.

Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?
