Market Forces Driving Change Management Demand in New Zealand

    Transformation Overload

New Zealand organisations are running record numbers of transformation projects at once, and adoption stalls without disciplined change management, the exact gap this qualification is built to close.

Foundation and Practitioner build structured change skills

    The Neglected People Side

Too many programmes deliver new systems yet fail on adoption because the people side is an afterthought. Certified change practitioners close that gap and protect the value of the investment.

Learn to lead the human side of change

    Public Sector Reform

The Government Digital Delivery Agency and ongoing service redesign are driving major public sector change, demanding practitioners who can plan, communicate and embed change without disrupting services.

Practitioner skills apply to service redesign

    Open Banking Disruption

With open banking rules now in force, the major banks and Kiwibank are re-engineering products and operations, and change professionals who manage stakeholder impact are highly sought after.

Change capability is in demand across banking

    Change Saturation and Resistance

Employees face constant, overlapping change, raising fatigue and resistance. Skilled practitioners assess capacity, manage transitions and keep people engaged through concurrent initiatives.

    Master resistance and capacity management

    Scarce Credentialed Talent

New Zealand has a deep project delivery pool but few formally qualified change managers. Holding a recognised Foundation and Practitioner credential makes candidates rare and in demand.

A recognised credential helps you stand out

    Pricing

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams, industry case studies, and learner support. Speak with a learning advisor for a detailed inclusion list and a quote.

How much does Change Management certification training cost in New Zealand?

Pricing varies by delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so the current fee is available on request. Contact us for a tailored quote for individual or corporate training in New Zealand.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion varies by package. Some plans bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers while others quote them separately. Confirm the current inclusion with a learning advisor before you enrol.

    Exam

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections worth 80 marks in 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80). Both must be passed to hold both credentials.

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice test of 50 single-answer questions to be completed in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 25 correct answers out of 50, and it is usually taken at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario-based, with 5 sections each worth 16 marks for a total of 80 marks, completed in 2.5 hours. The pass mark is 50%, meaning 40 out of 80 marks. The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means the Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass an exam first time?

You can resit the exam. Our training includes mock exams and first-attempt guidance to prepare you thoroughly for both levels. Confirm the current resit fee and voucher policy with a learning advisor before booking.
