PRINCE2 Foundation exam is not very difficult, and you can take it in two to three weeks. PRINCE2 Practitioner examination is however a little more difficult and you may need approximately three months to prepare for it.

PRINCE2 syllabus was last updated by Axelos in 2017 and new exams in English were released. The PRINCE2f foundation and PRINCE2 practitioner course outline and content follow the new syllabus now.

Who should take up this course?

There are no pre-requisites to take the PRINCE2 Foundation certification examination.

You must have passed one of the following certification examinations to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification exam:

  • IPMA Level A(Certified Projects Director)
  • IPMA Level B(Certified Senior Project Manager)

PRINCE2 Foundation Exam Format:

  • Type: Multiple choice examination questions
  • No Of Questions:75 questions per paper, Five questions to be trial and not counted in scores
  • Result: 35 marks required (out of 70 available) to pass - 50%
  • Examination duration: One hour's (60 minutes) duration
  • TypeClosed book

PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam Format:

  • Type: Multiple choice examination questions
  • No Of Questions: Eight questions - 10 question items per question, each worth one mark
  • Result: 44 marks or more required to pass (out of 80 available) - 55%
  • Examination duration: Two-and-a-half hours’ (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time
  • Type: Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only)
