What is the PfMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PfMP worth it for professionals in Albuquerque?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

How much does PfMP training cost in Albuquerque?

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, computer-based, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is delivered through Pearson VUE, either online proctored or at a test center.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%). Together they cover the full scope of portfolio management.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Your result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback such as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

Where can I take the PfMP exam in Albuquerque?

You can sit the exam at a Pearson VUE test center or take it online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE online proctoring from home or office. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website within your eligibility period.

What are the eligibility requirements to sit the PfMP exam?

PMI requires one of three experience sets, all within the past 15 years. With a bachelor's degree you need 120 months of business experience plus 48 months of portfolio management experience; with a secondary diploma the portfolio requirement rises to 84 months. All candidates also complete a panel review.

What training formats are available?
