How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and a time limit of three hours (180 minutes). Questions use single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The exam covers four domains from the 2023 CAPM ECO: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts, Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies, Agile Frameworks and Methodologies, and Business Analysis Frameworks.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported across the four CAPM domains as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery.
