    How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

    The CAPM exam has 150 questions and lasts 3 hours (180 minutes). It is closed book and uses multiple-choice question formats, including single-answer and multiple-answer questions.

    Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM exam?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four exam domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

    Where and how do I take the CAPM exam?

    You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center. Up to three attempts are allowed within the one-year eligibility period from application approval.

    Which standard is the CAPM exam based on?

    The exam is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023, aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware follows the same current outline.
