What is the CAPM certification and who is it for?

Is the CAPM worth it for a project career in Atlanta?

Yes. CAPM gives beginners recognized proof of project management knowledge that Atlanta employers value across technology, logistics, healthcare and payments. It helps you compete for roles such as project coordinator and PMO analyst and sets up a later path to PMP.

Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

No. CAPM is the only PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary qualification, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

How long is the CAPM valid and how do I renew it?

CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike PMP, you renew it by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs.

How does the CAPM differ from the PMP?

CAPM is entry-level and needs only 23 hours of education and no experience. PMP is advanced and requires months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. CAPM is the natural first PMI credential for those building toward PMP eligibility.

How much does CAPM training cost in Atlanta?

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 questions and lasts 3 hours (180 minutes). It is closed book and uses multiple-choice question formats, including single-answer and multiple-answer questions.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM exam?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four exam domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four.

Where and how do I take the CAPM exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center. Up to three attempts are allowed within the one-year eligibility period from application approval.

Which standard is the CAPM exam based on?

The exam is based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023, aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware follows the same current outline.
