The CAPM exam covers four domains from the 2023 ECO: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you have three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Where can I take the CAPM exam?

You can take the CAPM exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test center. Boston-area candidates can sit it at a local test center or remotely from home or office.

Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Your result is set through psychometric analysis, with performance reported across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of all four rather than a single target number.

What if I do not pass the CAPM the first time?
