Skills You Will Build in This CSM CourseGrounded in the Scrum Guide

By the end of the program you can facilitate Scrum events, coach a self-managing team, and apply the Scrum framework with confidence, all mapped to the official Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives and the current Scrum Guide.

    Scrum Theory and Empiricism

This CSM training covers all six Scrum Alliance CSM Learning Objectives. You start with the empirical foundations of Scrum, the three pillars of transparency, inspection and adaptation, and how the framework thrives in complex work, so you can explain why Scrum works and where it fits.

    Living the Five Scrum Values

Apply commitment, focus, openness, respect and courage in real team settings. You will learn how the Scrum values build trust, enable the three pillars, and shape a healthy team culture that a Scrum Master actively models and fosters.

    Building Effective Scrum Teams

Understand the Scrum Team structure and the three accountabilities: Scrum Master, Product Owner and Developers. You will learn how self-management and cross-functionality work in practice and how to enable, rather than direct, a team's decisions.

    Facilitating All Five Scrum Events

Run the Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective within their timeboxes. You will practice facilitation techniques and formats that keep events productive, purposeful and focused on the Sprint Goal.

    Managing Scrum Artifacts and Commitments

Work with the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and Increment, and their commitments: the Product Goal, Sprint Goal and Definition of Done. You will learn to keep artifacts transparent and use the Definition of Done as a quality gate.

    Mastering the Scrum Master Role

Serve the team, the Product Owner and the organization as a servant leader. You will learn to coach, facilitate and remove impediments, and to lead agile adoption, the accountability the CSM credential validates.
